Calculation of continuous Turkish resident duration

Those who stay outside of Turkey exceeding more than six months in a year or for a year in the last five years with valid reasons will be considered as interruption of service other than those who are compulsory public service, education or heath reasons. In this case of interruption of service previous residence permit duration will not be taken into account for residence permit application or change of other residence permit. Thus the calculation defines as continuous residence permit resident permits of the student will be considered as half duration and full resident permit will be considered for those of all types of residence permits. The “ Work Permit Exemption Confirmation Document” are calculated on the basis of total duration of work permit on the residence permit duration. This calculation of total residence duration shall not be considered of those whose Residence permits of fraudulent marriage and cancellation of the same on the later stage.
